Seneca slide out controler

Do you know where your slide out controller is? Jayco doesn't.

First let me say it only took me 6 months to find mine.

This summer while on a extended trip I had a problem with my bedroom slide. We spent almost a month traveling with the bedroom slide closed. The first dealer I tried was in Alberta. The second two in Alaska, they were also booked for weeks. Jayco customer service told me to try and find an a tec. I landed at Karen's RV service in Anchorage. I showed up when I was told hopping to get it back the same day. Latter that day I stopped by to see how things were going and they told me they couldn't find my slide out controller. They had called Jayco but they were no help. Karen's was happy to hear I could show them where it was and they told they had spent an hour and a half looking for it.

So this is what's going to happen in my rig. My slide out controller is mounted behind the wall at the foot of the bed, hard to get to with the slide closed. And the same goes if yours is under your bed. I've decided to mount mine on the other side of the wall in plain sight. No need to remove the mattress or plywood base to get to it.

My bill was just over $800 dollars and to my surprise Jayco paid me the full amount. I was also surprised that Karen's RV had a new controller in stock and we got it back the same day.

I figure doing this will guarantee I'll never have another problem with my controller.
