A close-up photo of one of the fasteners would help, but only as a guess, if there's a flush center pin, gently push it in a little. Then the fastener will come out with your fingers. Once out, you can push the pin in the opposite direction so it's sticking out of the head. To refasten it, insert the fastener into the hole, then push the center part to flush.
