Best generater?

Hi.
We are in the market for a good quiet generator.
Which one would you recommend for us?
We have a noisy one but that aggravates everyone in hearing distance.

Honda or Yamaha inverter type. Your choice, both are great.

Champion appears to have a contender that is getting lots of buzz th past couple years . From what understand its not as quiet as the blue or red ones, but very marginally different and about 2/3 the price.

We have a Champion 3100. It is a couple of model years old, but runs well. It is seems as quiet as the others - off maybe a few decibels, and is very quiet in econo mode. It was only about $800. For around $100 more, you can get a remote start. We got our on Overstock, but Amazon has the less expensive price right now.

A 3 db increase in noise is twice as loud to the ear.

Really like our Yamaha 3000is. Only have used it once so far but it's more than adequate for our needs. Really like how quiet it is.

Dollar for dollar Champion 3100 $1000, run one A/C and that's what most want. 2800 running watts/3100 starting watts 58 dBA at 23 ft.
Honda 2000I is $1000-1100 and it takes two to run the A/C. The EU2000i operates at 53 to 59 dBA.
