Bittersweet trip

Our oldest graduated from Kindergarten this afternoon. We had planned to go camping this weekend to celebrate. It was also going to be the first trip for our third born, who came into this world on 5/21. Unfortunately, our baby boy left us at only 8 days old, on 5/29, due to currently unknown causes. We were struggling with whether or not to still go. It's been an emotional day and I am tearing up typing this. Long story short, we decided to go ahead with the trip as we didn't want the oldest to be disappointed. We packed up at 5:30, and I am sitting in the grocery parking lot waiting on the wife to get a few things. Hoping to make the best of the weekend, and needed to share, thank you for reading.

Praying that this will be a positive experience and the beginning of healing for you and the family.

You are going thru what none of ever want and I hope it strengthens you.

My wife and I are tearing up also as we read this. Praying for you and the family.

Iím deeply sorry. I know those words are inadequate, but I am truly sorry for what youíre experiencing right now. I can only just begin to imagine what youíre going through and how difficult all this must be for you. Our youngest grandson, born in early May, gave us a scare the day after he was born; thankfully everything turned out fine. Then our year-old granddaughter needed to be transported to emergency rooms twice later in May.

Those situations made us appreciate even more the recent, first overnight camping trip with our oldest grandson. We had a wonderful time that I'm sure the three of us will cherish for years to come.

You are a very strong man! Much stronger than I. I can sympathize with you, as we almost lost our youngest to Type 1 Diabetes last year. My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family...Please take this time you have this weekend to enjoy one another.

I'm sorry for your loss. My youngest (21 years old) was killed in a car wreck in early April. It's a life changing experience. You are in my prayers.
