Cam Locks
I truely believe that 99.99% of my fellow RV'ers are honest and would never use their universal cam lock key on my Jayco and steal what I have in my storage, but for that .01% that may see an opportunity, where can I find a set of cam locks all keyed alike but different than the standard 751 cam & key? I find combination locks on the net, which may be the best way to go, except for the price. Just wondering if any of you out there know of a source that sells a card of maybe 6 or 8 reasonabily priced cam locks.

I went to a local lock shop...described what I needed and they set me up. A reminder some of my cam locks were different depths. So you might make sure you know how many of each size you need. The local shop said they could replace them but the "time" made it somewhat expensive. So I replaced them myself. Not difficult once you get the hang of what needs to go where. The local shop gave me some "tips".

I replaced all my locks with manual twist type (like the type on the other end of the door). Then I put in latching solenoids to sliders that lock the doors. All the solenoids are go to one switch. I flip the switch and they all unlock, flip it the other way and they all lock. Hated using those keys!!!!

I replaced all my compartment locks the day I took possession of my TT. Got the new locks from my dealer for a good price and we when thorough his supply to make sure I had all my locks on the same key....

Anybody got a source for replacement cam locks with keys other then 751?
*** Oops, answered my own question, Grainger has a large selection with keying other than 751.
Also, Jim Manley, I would love to see what you did and/or, a source for parts.
Regards,
Jim

I have had my eye on some via Amazon for a while - just need to measure for the right size. They are $12 to $13 each with free shipping and no tax, so that is pretty hard to beat.
In fact, I have purchased about 80% of my accessories from Amazon - great selection and price on almost every typically RV accessory.

Not only are all Jayco's useing the 751 but everyone else is using it too. I kept a 751 key from our old Montana.

I took my key to the RV show. There wasn't a compartment I couldn't open. Kinda fun, really.
