Finally Cooler Weather in the Southeast
It sure has been a Looong HOT Summer, we are enjoying the cooler weather here in the Southeast.
With Temps in the 100's many days this summer, now having evenings in the mid 60's and days in the mid 70's sure is nice.
Now that the weather is cooler, schools are back in, we are ready for more events and activities.

Its been nice here too the last several days with highs in the mid 70`s and lows in the low 50`s with LOW humidity. The REAL camping season is just beginning!

Ohhhhhhhh, I've been waiting for this weather for months and the weather here in SE Virginia is just beautiful. I do have a quick question tho, our neighbor here was reading me the riot act about having our windows open. She went on and on about humidity and mold (and bears oh my). I totally understand about the effects high humidity could have on the Rv but Not opening the windows on beautiful breezy days? Really? We make sure to use the vents while cooking, showering etc and this winter will get a dehumidifier if needed (most likely). We also use a fan almost all the time to keep air circulating even with the ac running. Is she being overly causous or am I not worried enough?

I keep the trailer parked here by the house and go out and open up the windows and door now and then on breezy days to air it out. I cannot see where that would do any harm, humid or not. I leave the bathroom vent open all the time which has a Maxxaire vent cover. It would seem to me keeping it sealed up tight would be worse..............

Yep, I agree that trying to keep it airtight is not good - that's when you get the mold and mildew, so I use baking soda and hanging bags that absorb moisture ONLY when forced to keep things closed up (winter). All other times we open some of the windows periodically to let the breeze air it out, even when in high humidity. Have never had mold or mildew develop.

Cooler temps haven't hit Central Florida yet. We are still at 90. But at least the humidity has dropped.
