Ford Focus toad

I saw a post on forum of someone who towed a Ford Focus. We are looking for one to tow because our tow truck is 5000 lbs. and too heavy. Just wanted to know how he hooked up, what tow bar, etc. We have a Greyhawk FK Thanks for any help

Your dealer should be able to line you up with a hitch and possibly a brake controller.

While it is NOT a Focus - I dolly tow a Fusion with our 31SS Greyhawk. Get about 7 on the last two trips. Am happy with the dolly situation and don't intend to change that in the near future.

Have you been out west towing your Fusion? We were wondering how the Ford Engine does in the mountains. We have always towed four down and thats what we are used to. Different strokes....

Rapid City is as far West as we have gotten in this unit. Not much of a test, but pulled the Fusion and dolly just fine. We did our share of occupying the "slow lane" but kept moving forward..

We are still looking for a small tow car and have found a 2002 Ford Focus XLT? It is a station wagon with manual transmission. Can't find on the websites if it will tow. I assume it will since it is a manual, but it has a different engine from the focus sedan. More power I'm told. Anyone have info?I have looked on MH Magazine, Good Sams, Remco. Any other suggestions?

I wonder if Ford would provide an answer? If you think about it the others (MH Mag, Remco, etc) have to get their info from somewhere. Just a thought

I tried to email Ford earlier, but I don't have a VIN # and that is required. Will see if I can get phone #.

Thanks

Just for info, I did get in touch with Ford and the 2002 Focus ZTW(manual) is towable without restrictions. Good info, nice lady. (Ford towing Ford I guess)
