Radio antenna up or down
Probably a dumb question-
What do y'all do with the radio antenna when traveling? We took delivery on a new trailer and the antenna was up. Are we supposed to climb the roof to raise and lower the antenna between trips?
Is it a big deal to leave it up all the time? Thanks.

Most of them have a spring at the base of them, so they'll bend with the wind; or if you happen to encounter a low-hanging tree branch. Then they pop right back up. T.V. antennae is a different story. Always make sure you center it, then crank it down before hitting the road.

Can you put the radio antenna down? Mine has the spring bottom but I don't think it can be lowered. The top touches a little and is slightly bent while parked under my pole shed but I don't think it is hurting anything.

Mine has a spring and a angle adjustment. I leave it up all the time.

X2....but my TT isn't very tall. I will be putting it down for the first time this fall when the new cover goes on for the Winter.

I only put mine down during winter storage. The building I store in is lower than the raised antennae.

As I mentioned, my shed roof is shorter than the raised antenna so it bends it slightly. This shouldn't hurt anything, should it?

I have mine at a 30 degree angle to the roof pointing towards the rear. Best of both worlds.

When straight the wind kept wrapping mine around the ladder. I ended kip with it leaning into the wind about 20 degrees, problem solved.
