Safe T Alert Propane/Co alarm

Safe T Alert propane/co alarm quit working after 13 months. This is the second alarm that has failed. The first alarm lasted 14 months.
The manufacturer only guarantees the alarm for 1 year. According to the manufacturer website the alarm should be replaced every 5 years. Anybody else ever have an alarm fail?

I've seen several posts over the last 1 1/2 years on here, so not too uncommon.
