Because if so, I'm due (knocking on wood). So far, I've had no mishaps. I had one gasket start to leak, but I saw it dripping a little bit and immediately bought a replacement gasket set and I'm back to good.

Gotta keep an eye on those things. When it looks like you're the only one who hasn't experienced a common event, you wonder when it's your turn! LOL!
It sounds like you're almost as paranoid about sewage spills as I am. They are the worst possible event. Anything else is just an inconvenience.

I chose that subject in my post because of the "You might be an RV'er..." joke:

- "...You have a sewer hose story... Nuf said"

LOL!!

Certainly paranoid enough to triple check EVERYTHING. I hope I can avoid any sewer hose stories!

Good advice for OP: Check the health of your waste disposal equipment frequently, and stay focused on the task at hand when dealing with waste to avoid becoming part of "that club"!

We too are first timers! We purchased a 2010 GReyhawk in primo condition! Already took him out on a 3200 mile trip to Yellowstone! More to come! Safe travels
