Yeah - you Yankees think it is funny to make fun of us. Without us you would have very little knowledge on the amazing uses of duct tape among other things!

And to think that all this time I was lead to believe that the toothbrush was invented in West Virginia. I was also mislead in the term Yankee. I always thought they were between the northern boarder and the Mason Dixon Line. I understand the Cajuns and mountain folk but what is the rest of them called? One can sure learn a lot about Social Studies by hanging around an educated place like the JOF.

Gawd! OK, just can't help it now!
Yankee vs Southern Zoo
Author Unknown
What's the real difference between a Yankee Zoo and a Southern Zoo?
On the cage, a Yankee Zoo will have the name of the animal and then the scientific name in Latin.
Whereas, a Southern Zoo will have the name of the animal and the recipe.....!

That is exactly right, we like our animal recipes! You know down here in Tennessee we passed what was called the "road kill bill". Basically states that if you find a dead animal on the road, you can take possession of it and have it for dinner.

You know, sadly, thats not the first time I have heard that. Using that logic, Canadians, Eskimo's, Santa, and even the Russians, are Yankees!
Why don't you Southerners come up to Canada this summer? Bring your ski's and parka's because it will be snowing as soon as you cross the border. I will even show you my igloo!

Lol - just having a little fun with you guys from Canada, no insult intended and I hope you didnt take it that way. I actually love it up there, spend some time in the boundary waters camping and canoeing. First time I had seen the Northern Lights.
