Ready To Start Full Timing
I'm in a position now that will allow me to live on the road for a while. I no longer have family obligations tying me down, so I'm selling the three houses I own (two rentals and my live-in home), then hitting the road towards the Great Northwest.
My two sons live in the Seattle area, so I plan to make the state of Washington my state of domicile (no state income tax, cheap vehicle tags). But first I have a trip to Moab, Utah to make in a couple of weeks. Then I'll come back and get the houses listed, and hopefully sold, then I'll be free!
My son is getting married in August, so I'll head up there in late July. After the wedding I'll spend some time with my old friends ( I used to live up there), then head south for the winter.
In the past I've enjoyed boondocking in semi-remote areas. I've found some resources online that tell where lots of cheap/free boondocking can be found, so living economically won't be a problem. Might hit the Slabs in California for a while, Yuma (niece and family live there) and Phoenix (friends there too).
I'm looking forward to my new adventure.
Wish me luck!
