Adding Grey Water Valve

I found a way to get it up in the air a bit so I could do some plumbing work. I'm adding a cable actuated grey water valve so I don't have to stand on my head at the poop dump.

This weekend has been "opening weekend". Had 5 new Maxxis M8008 tires installed early Friday morning. Brought her home and after work, got the AF drained from the water system and loaded up with sanitizing solution. Drained and rinsed the system this morning, then loaded up all the gear we take out for the winter.

First trip out is on Friday to the Adirondacks, and there is a ton of stuff waiting at our MyUSAddress stop for installation over the weekend.

For the first time in 7 years full time I had a bird working on a nest in my pinbox this year. I cleaned it out a couple of times and then just plugged it up with a couple of large empty trash bags. No eggs were present. Then the sucker moved to my golf cart and the driver's side cubby hole on the left side of the dash. Before I had to plug that one up I left the campsite.

Poor bird.

Yesterdays weather was great for a change, so off came the cover...finally. Todays weather was SUPPOSE to be better. So up on the roof to change the skylight. The weather WAS better...until I got the old one off, then it started to sprinkle! Who pays these weathermen?? Anyway, it's got a new skylight now, and sealed up some more seams with the Dicor.

I needed to grab a few items out of the trailer for an upcoming non-RV trip to the beach (I know! GASP!!)

Anyway, did a storage check while I was there. Put a little more water in the toilet to keep the seal wet. All is well, she's just waitin' on us!

Does anyone else miss their trailer like an old friend? I feel like when I go do storage checks, I talk to her and tell her how much I miss her, and tell her how much I look forward to our next adventure. Sometimes I feel kind of weird about it, but I do it anyway. Then when I get home and DW asks how's the trailer, I tell her I said hi for her, and she misses us.

Ah, whatever, it makes me feel good inside...

I de-winterized, tested the hot water heater and installed the digital thermostat so many of you have talked about.

All eggs hatched except one and birdies are gone. I would have hated to have to remove it for a trip so they hit it lucky.

They were Caroling Wrens.

We put in a new two inch memory foam on the bed and installed a Jack It A frame bike rack. I also made some foamie sleeves in a baggie (something like a slipper) to go over top of the black and grey water t pulls, which are very exposed on my trailer. We are going out this weekend on a long gravel road and I don't want the handles on my waste water valves to break off because of rocks.

Today is the final day of my bi-annual wash/wax project. It just doesn't happen in one day - too much wax on/wax off.

Installed a single 84" panel blackout curtain in the little hallway between the living area and bedroom of my 2017 Greyhawk 29mv. Mounted flush to the ceiling with a tension rod. Sure helps with 'zoning' for effective heating and A/C. All from Walmart for less than $20.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Installed my digital thermostat. Will have to wait until next trip to see if it works. It's reading room temp now so I have high hopes lol...

I think so too. Just makes me a little nervous not being able to test it before actually being at the next campground... I'm takin the original as well just as a backup. I need my ac during the summer lol!
