Upgraded her power. The 1.5 year old off-brand let us down twice while camping and during the extended Irma outage. Was left with "old faithful", our ~15 year old EU1000i. It ran the house fridge and lights and never complained.

Was an interesting time after Irma - got to play with friends and neighbors generators, and while not seeing every offering, the clear choice was the EU3000is 4WD! I'm in generator heaven.

Yep and agreed. First mod was an hour meter. The 1000 still starts on the first pull.

Came home from the last camping weekend of the season, emptied, cleaned and winterized the TT.

Update 9-27-17:

The replacement door arrived from Amazon Prime and the install literally took minutes. First I removed the latch mechanism from the old door while still on the Norcold. Two screws and a phillips screwdriver and it was on the new door. I removed the stuff in the door and took it off. Removed the metal retrofit lower hinge bracket from the old door put it on the new door then hung the new door on the refrigerator. Then removed the shelves from the old door and put them on he new door one at a time (easier to keep up with which shelve goes on which attach point this way). Put my items back in the door and then removed the wood panel from the old door and installed on the new door. I thought it would be a lot easier to hang the new door without that heavy wood panel on it - It was! That wood panel is heavier than the door. No wonder the plastic hinge isn't up to the task. I hope the metal retro hinge support will keep this new plastic hinge from breaking again.

I did turn the Norcold off during the couple of minutes the door was off to keep the alarm from beeping at me. As soon as the new door was hung I turned the unit back on. My iced tea never even knew the door was gone.

Well, OK, it was last night, not today, but...

Installed a power tongue jack (Husky Brute 4500), which doesn't come as standard on the 19XUD
I've still got to tidy up the wiring, and add an extra ground line, but the mechanical installation was easy, took about 30 minutes. That included blocking up the tongue, finding my tools and tidying up afterwards.

I've been promising myself one for some time, as part of my programme to make camping as kind as possible to my old bones, so last month's' bonus check made it happen :-)

Didn't do anything to her, but got the much anticipated call that she'd arrived at our dealer. Picking her up on Wednesday. Needless to say, were very excited.

I dropped it off at the storage yard today. I won't see it again until the end of April, unless I take a special trip over there and look at it through the fence.

Dang that's a long time. I believe I'd have the DT's if I couldn't at least walk out my garage door and enter mine just cause I could

HEH Drain

I added a 12" toilet line to the hot water heater drain. Easier to empty and safer to the surrounding parts.

DW and I washed it, washed the awning, cleaned the inside, torqued the lug nuts and fixed the TV antenna mechanism.

Just took out the trash and locked the door. Just need to add water before we head out again next weekend.

Sent a considerable amount of time scrubbing the roof on my hands and knees. It was looking great.......until I turned around. Just an observation...don't take a heavy duty BLACK rubber hose up there to rinse it off. Now everywhere the hose rubbed against the roof, and A/C shroud. there's a black streak. UGH!

Ran it down the road a few miles to the dump station for the final cleaning of the tanks. Still need to do a final exterior wash and roof inspection then it will be ready to winterize and cover...

Finally was able to get up on the roof and scrub it good and inspect things so it's ready to cover. Also washed the rest of the outside, drained the fresh water system and set the hot water tank by-pass valves. Ready to winterize now as soon as I find the time to grab the anti-freeze.

We've started making her our own. So far over the past couple of days:
- gave her a thorough interior cleaning
- removed what felt like a thousand stickers
- replaced the living room fan with one that actually moves air
- repaired the "pop up" electrical outlets in the island - wires were too short for it to open all the way
- ordered Eternabond tape so I can do all of the roof seams
- cleaned out the ductwork as best I could - didn't like the sawdust shower when the AC was on
- ordered tile to replace the kitchen and bathroom backsplash - don't like the shiny stuff from the factory

Lots more to do, especially once Amazon starts delivering.
