Pull her out of winter storage. Dropped off at the dealer to look at getting a second fantastic fan installed and the bearings done. Bring on the warmer weather!

That reminds me... I picked up a blow out plug and installed as a cap on the water inlet as the old original rubber "cap" was degrading into nothingness.

I went crazy yesterday and vacuumed my entire 5'er from one end to the other. My excuse for not doing it sooner wasn't I couldn't find the right bag for my built in vacuum. Finally found some on Amazon. Or maybe I should say I finally looked on Amazon. Now I have no excuse for not doing it more often since I ordered a dozen bags.

Since it is pouring down rain at the moment and forecast for that all day I think I'll just have another cup.

My Mods to date

I've been busy over the last several days/weeks "personalizing" the Eagle. Finished up several yesterday, and wanted to post some pics. First, I installed a door knob bumper on the hallway wall, so the bathroom door knob doesn't muck it up. (I can't imagine why Jayco doesn't do this at the factory.) Next, I added some coat/hat/leash hooks under the "Command Center" at the end of the cabinet over the dinette; then, I added a pet protector, a pillow (which I made myself), and an afghan (which my niece made for me) to the sofa; added a 3" memory-foam mattress topper, heated mattress pad, sheets, etc., and some pillows to the bed. I made the center pillow, as well. The pillow on the right is not my dog, but looks just like him. It was given to me by a friend. Then, I inserted a wine rack into the cubby hole above the radio/cd/dvd player; made and installed "Nesting Racks" out of 1/4" plywood, rubber shelf liner, dowel rods, and "Plasti-dip" to keep the dishes, glasses, pots & pans, and small appliances from banging together during travel.
Out of attachment space. See next post for more mods & pics.

More mods & pics

Finally, I removed the adjustable shelves from the pantry, and installed roll-out trays - which I also made. Because the trays and glides have to be able to fit through the door opening, I ended up loosing about 4" of pantry width. But, I gained access to the full depth of the pantry. Mine is only 15" wide, so reaching the stuff in the back and pulling it out was a real pain. Will be so much easer with the roll-outs. I had to remove the lambrequin from above the outside door, because the pantry door wouldn't open 90-degrees with it in place. No biggie. Never could see much sense in them, anyway. I also want to insulate the under bed storage and front pass-through storage areas, as others have done. Already have the foam board, just need to get 'er done. Not sure if I'll get to it before I head up to Cadillac (Michigan) at the end of the month to do a little spring turkey hunting and camping at Mitchell State Park. Although I've stayed there several times before, it will be my first ever outing in the new Eagle.
Am I jazzed about it or what?::woohoo::

We finalized de winterizing, tidied up inside put some stuff back in the trailer that had been in the house. Earlier in the week I pulled off the cover and touched up some areas of caulking that I didn't think looked right with some pro flex. The trailer is ready to go and we are planning on taking it out next weekend and again for Easter weekend.

Went and visited our camper, inventoried what we left over the winter and started "moving in" the items we removed for the winter. Brought the vacuum cleaner and vac'ed it all out. Now have a list of more stuff need to bring. Still need to inventory the basement.

We lined some more shelves and then got sided tracked thinking we had a water leak in a brand new trailer. Thankfully it was just a sloppy "dewinterizing" by the dealership.
