I got off work, there is Autumn in the air and the kids are in the house so I went out and opened up the trailer windows then took a nice relaxing nap. Ahhhhh.

The water pump on my 26BH has been acting up lately. It had been cycling on momentarily every few minutes, even when all the faucets were shut off. No leaks or air buildup in the lines or water heater either. After studying the problem (Shurflow website) I decided that the pump check valve was going out.

So I removed the pump and disassembled it. After finding the check valve (it's not shown on the parts breakdowns) I did what I could to clean it up. After putting everything back together, it definitely works better but still cycles at times when it shouldn't be. I'm gonna have to get a check valve rebuild kit sometime in the future and install it.

I also got the ladder out and checked the sealant on the roof. Still in good shape after 2 years and nearly 30K miles of travel.

I took a look at the fresh water tank supports and found that one of them was bent ( the furthest forward section of angle iron). My fault I'm sure, from traveling with full tanks too much.

Cleaned and reloaded all the outside compartments. Also mounted the Delta tool box on the storage rack. Sallie has been busy cleaning and rearranging things inside.

I just added a few gallons of fresh water to my tank. The park is in the process of repairing numerous leaks in their system and they seem to turn the water off at the worst possible times. I have used my fresh water a few times in the past couple of days so it was time to add a bit more to it.

Going to pull the trigger tonight on a new WDH (w/ Anti-sway) and a tongue scale. Found out long after the fact I was sold a hitch that is WAY over-rated for my application....

Theebutchers, If you are going anti sway the Hensley Cub for smaller trailers is on special for $1395.00 now. The performance of this hitch like non other has me thinking this could be the time for additional health and safety on our unit.

Thank you - I visited the site. I was unaware this mfg offered a solution for TT under 3,000#. One of my of constant concerns is tongue weight. Even with careful packing of my 2,800# GVW TT, it's tough for me to keep the tongue @ 300#. The Reese 350 Ultra-light will knock 50# off my current tongue / hitch weight instantly......a BIG plus for me....

For more information on what the Hensley can offer....I may hold off my decision until tomorrow.

Added an IOTA IQ4 smart charger to my existing IOTA converter. Supposed to keep better control of charging rates, and a mode where after every 7 days of full charge, it will remove sulfates from the battery plates.
