Green mountain grill Davy Crockett
Thinking about getting a new GMG Davy Crockett to take with us camping. Has any one picked one up yet? They came out at the end of last year.

Anything with a smokestack on it is cool! A little bigger than I'd like to drag camping but a novel idea nonetheless.

Do it! I Bergen pellet grill smoking about 3 years ago with a Traeger and it great. The design of that tailgater is about perfect. Those slider grates need to be foil covered or be prepared for a major cleanup headache. Only use cooking pellets and keep them dry.

So I stopped by the BBQ store and they had one and it managed to climb into the back of the truck and came home with me. Real easy to set up, filled with pellets and now it's cleaning itself at 350 for the next hour. I plan on cooking some bacon wrapped chicken tonight on high heat and then tomorrow doing a slow and low brisket all day,

If anyone is in the market for a smoker/grill this little guy is a must have for camping. I am very happy with my choice. The brisket today turned out awesome with good flavor and a nice smoke ring on it.

The best smoker grill out there! I've had mine for three and a half I cook almost everything thing on it. It keeps the temperature plus or minus 5 to 10 degrees. It will plug into your 12 volt lighter outlets or its 110 volt a.c. adapter and the new ones will connect via Bluetooth and an app for easy temperature control of around 50 feet. I use around 50 lbs of oak pellets a month, they run around $8.50 a 50 lbs bag at Lowe's.
Never had a problem even after using almost a ton of pellets over 400 pork shoulders 200 standing rib roasts (prime rib) usually choice never prime). The world's best burgers (raped with bacon around 2 hours at 200 for medium 225 for well). For unforgettable 1 1/2 rib eye stakes turn up the temperature to 300 for rare 325 for medium 350 for well, for an additional hour. Bake pies, biscuits, cookies or anything you would cook in your oven.
I love showing up at any Tragger demonstrations and putting their best to shame. The best part is that not only it better it is also more convenient plus it costs less, around $100.00 less!
Keep smoking its addictive; Desertman

Love mine
Hooked mine up to the WiFi in my Class C. Have it running in server mode and can control it from anywhere.
It's the little brother to my RecTec at home.
Have done anything from deep dish pizza, over duck, to reverse sear steak.
Yes, I got a sear kit too.

I've had a Pit Boss at the house now since Fathers Day. I've been using the heck out of it and just love it.
This GMG is on my list for the holidays. Now if I can only convince the family that I've been good all year!!
Gotta eat!
