What is the lowdown on drilling holes in the AFrame? I am considering the Hayes Sway Master. It mounts to the AFrame and uses self tapping screws. Two screws go into the top, and two screws go into the side near the radius. I am concerned about weakening the load bearing capability of the tongue steel.
Is this a valid concern? I see al kinds of things getting screwed into trailer frames, but I do not know the degree to which these add-ons jeopardize the steel's integrity. Here is the link to the Hayes Sway Master installation guide:
