Reinstall Bedroom door

This isn't a mod but a repair. I didn't see any better place to put it.

Last year the plastic strip that holds the bedroom door open broke which allowed the door to get off the track. On later inspection I fount the door had knocked the rear stop off. I tried several ways to do the repair but all failed. I finally had to remove the back to the Cabinet behind the tv.

Pic 1.- I had to remove the tv.

Pic 2.- I had to remove the tv sliding tray.

Pic 3.- I cut the back of the cabinet out.

Pic 4.- This is what they used as a stop. It is 1/8 paneling stapled across 2 1by2's. Very easy to knock off.

Pic 5.- I replaced with a 3/8 strip of plywood screwed to the 1by2's. Much more substantial.

Pic 6.- Pic of door in the track.

Pic 7.- Cabinet back loosely placed back in..

Pic 8.- Finished job.

Pic 9.- Tool I used to cut the cabinet back. This is one of those vibrating tools that works very well in thin material.

Very nice job. Probably saved yourself $300 or $400 it would have cost you at an RV shop.
