Replacement water heater for '99 24FB

Hi,
So, I recently bought an older 24FB (1999) with a rather dead water heater (yes, the previous owner did tell us before we bought it). It looks like it's an Atwood G6A-7. I'm looking at just replacing the whole thing, and I'm wondering if it's worth switching to the DSI version instead of having to deal with a manual pilot light. Looks like the G6A-8E is a drop-in replacement? Obviously I'd have to get a 12v line somewhere and wire in a switch...?

Just wondering if anyone has done this before.

Thanks!
Dirk

So, just in case someone else runs across this thread with the same question - I ended up talking to Atwood, and confirmed that the form factor of the other 6 gallon water heaters is the same. I went ahead and ordered the GC6AA-10E, and it fit perfectly. Once I finish tapping into the appropriate wiring, I'll now have a water heater that's self-igniting, and that also has a 110V option if I'm at a location with hookups somewhere.
