My new mod to the TV (Tow Vehicle)
I recently had a misunderstanding with a tree while backing the TT in to a campsite. I broke the driver side mirror. I used some duct tape to secure the mirror for the trip home.
So this was the time I decided that I wanted to upgrade my mirrors to the larger "Tow Mirrors" from Ford.
I order two new mirrors online and prepared the truck for the arrival of the mirrors.
Once they arrived, I was ready and delighted to install them.
These new/larger mirrors are exactly what I wanted.
They add soooooooo more viewing and the ability to extend them out another 3 1/2 inches for better viewing.
If you are thinking about changing your mirrors on your F150 from the paddle mirrors to the "Towing Mirrors" and need more info, please let me know. I would happy to share more info!

Now that was easy.....at least you make it look easy.
Did you have the special tool for removing the interior trim panel?
Maybe you had a few spare clips for re-assembly of the interior trim?

I made sure my new truck (see signature line) came with those and I absolutely love them! You'll never go back, just watch the ATM's, drive up windows and passenger side garage door frames. No, I haven't had any close encounters but I am VERY careful when pulling close to anything!!

Total time to remove and install mirrors was about 60 minutes each side. I wired these new mirrors so the "Puddle Lamps" under the mirrors worked with the interior lamps.
If I had not wired the lamps, it would taken about 30 minutes each side.
The door panels are easy to remove and reinstall. There are no clips on the door panels to replace. The trim pieces remove and install very easy. All I used for tools were:
1 Flat tip screw driver (to remove trim pieces)
1 Cordless drill
3 sockets (1/4", 5.5mm & 8mm sockets)
Wire crimpers, electrical tape and connectors for the lamps on the mirror.
While I had the door panels off, I lubricated the window tracks again, They had a bad squeak, so I took care of that as well.
All in all, I am very pleased with the looks and the better viewing.

To anyone thinking of making this great mod.. check with LMC truck first... often you can get the part from them at up to 75% off... the dealer wanted over $300.00 for my fog lights.. got them from LMC for 49.50 and when comparing them to the factory ones could not see any differance

Those look like ours. I love our telescoping towing mirrors! Good job and thanks for posting the progression with pics

Maybe you'll have to let some of us know where that tree is

Very nice. I'm jealous. As far as I can tell, there is nothing from the manufacturer of aftermarket for my Trailblazer
