Programmers for 5.3?

Has anyone tried a programmer for the 5.3?

Yes, I installed the Hypertech Max Energy in my 2012 Silverado LT 1500 5.3, when I did I also changed the shift firmness.

Here is what Hypertech says about the shift firmness settings.

Increase shift firmness to maximize performance or when towing, to reduce clutch slippage and transmission oil temperatures. That means longer transmission life. However, this feature must not be used If you have installed an aftermarket shift kit.

I must say, the programmer made a huge difference in my truck.

I used a Super Chips Vivid Linq on my 2002 Yukon with the 5.3 engine, and it did a decent job. I used the tow tune when towing and changed back to either the stock or economy tune when I got home. I bought a new GMC truck and don't need it any more. (It won't work with the new engine technology). Let me know if you're interested in buying it.
