Quick Links and S Hooks

I replaced the existing 1/4" safety chain on my Jay Flight Swift SLX, GVW 3500 lbs. with a 5/16" that includes 17/32" S hooks with clips on the ends for attaching to the TV. (I'm confident the capacity is more than the hitch rating and the Trailer GVW). I came up a little short in length while crossed under the hitch receiver and attached to the TV, so I put 17/32" Quick Links on the S hooks and attached the quick links to the TV. Do you think this is OK?
