What can help with TV reception?
What can help with my TV reception at a camp ground if I do not have a cable line?

Assuming you at least gave a crank up antenna I would suggest buying a Winegard Wingman. They're cheap enough and simple to snap on.

For about $50, we replaced ours with a Rayzar antenna. Took about 10 minutes to install and find a a bunch of channels out there.

Or look into a King Jack antenna which made a big difference to me. Go to the AntennaWeb or TV Fool website to find out which stations from which direction are possible at your camp ground. Makes a big difference in setting up your antenna,

Go through all the coaxial cable connections in the trailer and make sure they are tight. Remove the signal amplifier and any cable connector plates from the walls and check the connections that are otherwise hidden from sight.
I had bad, sporadic reception, and after I tightened up all the connections, reception was improved greatly. Most of the connections were loose from the factory, or from road vibrations.

The standard batwing with a Wingman added (referenced above) is as good as any other over-the-air antenna. I wouldn't waste money to swap to a whole new antenna. The hardest part is knowing where to point it. Using the websites above, you should be able to point it good enough to make a big difference. Oh and make sure you have the signal booster turned on.

On our x23j, under the cabinet where the tv sits there is a button, out position works for cable, in position ( green light on) works for antenna. Just found this out this past week while camping. Couldn't get antenna to work at all before. And we have had the camper a couple of yrs. LOL. Using the antenna while tt is parked beside the house. Can't believe the reception.

Went with the King Jack antenna and reception went from 5 channels to 11 channels in CG. Good deal by my book.

As I read the responses I wondered if you push the button to turn on the power to the antenna? The buttons normally near the coax connection and shows a light when on. Then make sure your TV is set to air and not cable and run the channel search.

In addition to either the Jack antenna or the Wingman add-on, use a signal finder. Surelock Signal finder
I have the Jack antenna and the Surelock signal finder.

The button in question turns on a signal booster, an antenna is a passive device and basically always "on".
