Norcold doors - Device to Close them?

Our fridge's "lock" on the freezer works okay, but the large door's lock won't slide into position. Duct tape aside

what can I do to assure the door doesn't pop open on a bumpy road? So far, so good, but I'm tired of getting out of the TV and climbing into the TT to check it when we get to the bottom of our bumpy road.

Hope this is a good place to post this.

Haven't heard of door locks on these fridges but they do have a slide latch that prevents the doors from being closed when you're not running the fridge. Maybe that's what you're referring to?

The slider lock is there to lock the doors in a slightly open position for storage, not for locking them completely closed. The door latch should hold them closed on bumpy roads, at least they never failed on me, and I've been on many rough roads with my TT.

If the lock doesn't engage, try pulling upward on the bottom of the door a little so the latch can slide into the hole in the frame. But still, it's designed to hold the door open a little when locked with the slider.

Maybe the door latch isn't engaging completely, and that's why it opens on the road. Again, maybe slightly lifting the door will allow the latch to fully engage.

And did you look to see of your hinges are starting to crack?

Okay, I thought they were additional latches. So my statement should be reversed. The freezer will slide over when closed and the refrigerator latch works correctly. Opposite of what I thought. So as I said, so far so good with the regular latches. Hasn't opened yet. But I'd still like a little more assurance. Cannot figure out how to further secure those doors. Oh well.
