TPO/Alpha lap sealant?

I know this question has been covered before, but for the life of me I can find the previous thread. What sealant is correct to use on a TPO/Alpha roof? Just want to have it on hand to touch up around vents etc. I have a roll of the permabond tape but want to buy a tube of the sealant.

I know I'm a bit opinionated on the subject of rubber roofs, but after a failure of mine after 5 years I have the right.

IMHO the ONLY thing to do to a rubber roof, even if brand new, is RVRoof | Home of the original sprayed RV Roof. No more rubber to worry about and zero caulking to have to replace and wonder when the leak will occur.

Thanks for the responses. Only doing maintanence on the original sealant so looks like I don't need the 2 part system. Will be getting a tube of the self leveling and the not leveling regular dicor product.

Having questions about our Greyhawk roof, I called Alpha Systems for information:
- An Alpha Systems rubber roof has a textured surface like an orange.
- It is a TPO roof.
- Has a 12-year warranty to the original owner.
- Any household cleaner is okay. They specifically mentioned Dawn.
- Alpha Systems Super Flex self-leveling/no-sag sealants recommended.
- Can also use Dicor 501 lap sealant without problem.
- Does not need any type of treatment or UV protectant.

Hope this helps.

I've been using Dicor self leveling caulk on my Alpha-ply roof for 4 years now with excellent results. In a vertical situation I use ProFlex [clear] or Dicor non leveling caulk.

What does this roof cost for a 25-30' trailer?

When I do touch up work on the original sealant I clean it with mineral spirits first, takes the crap [dirt/mold etc] right off. Apply it to a rag first then clean because you don't want it on the roof membrane itself.

What is the difference between 501 and 502 dicor? Both are self leveling.

Their prices vary some from application location to location, but the cost for me in Mississippi this past January was $170.00/linear foot. But worth every dime. About a month after I had it done a thunderstorm blew through the park I was in and a couple of campers had holes in their rubber roofs due to falling limbs. I just smiled at my new roof.

I know I am very opinionated in this area, but rubber roofs are only good for delivery from the dealer to the first owner and nothing more IMHO. And don't believe that 12 year warranty. I was offered $223 or $225 (I forget) as total compensation for my 5 year old roof that was leaking through the membrane.
