Master Power Switch in Coach

We park our Greyhawk in between trips at my office hooked into shore power to keep battery charged. But we noticed that when you turn off the master power switch next to the door, power remains to the 2 TVs (standby LEDs lit). Its only when you pull the shore power (and leave the master power switch off), do they power down.

Do you think this was by design or a factory wiring mixup?

Not on a delay, are they? Does that switch bypass the battery?

Delay? Not sure what you mean... setting in TV(s)? Not that I am aware of.

That only turns off 12volt, TV's are 120 volt so everything is perfectly normal. Howver your probably not charging the batteries with that switch off.

Yeah, but Grumpys right. I thought it was a complete disconnect from shore power AND battery.

Got it, but if only 12v is controlled by master switch, what about microwave or Fridge (knowing is multi-powered)? Both work on 120v and both turn off with master switch I believe.

Fridge will since it uses 12v for control circuit even when on shore same for a/c, micro is 120 only.

The TVs may continue to receive power if there's an inverter and it "passes through" 120VAC when connected to shore or genset power.
We have one but I can't say I've checked the TVs with the master 12VDC switch off while plugged in.
However the fridge does go off but the microwave is still on, like Grumpy said.

Thanks all... in checking the MH this weekend you are all correct that all 120V appliances remain on when plugged into shore power despite master switch. So 'working as designed' was the answer to my original question... case closed!

Just piling on, I noticed that our electric steps still worked with the Master Switch off. So, it's *most* things, but not everything.
