Norcold "C" Code - Rescued by JOF Addiction!
Just finished a six day trip and on day 5 our Norcold Fridge started flashing a Code "C". I reset the fridge a few times and it seemed to work overnight into day 6.
Some quick research said that Code "C" indicates a problem with the D/C power supply. I checked the breaker box and all seemed in order and I was not noticing any other indications of power issues, so I assumed the reboot had worked.
I arrived at storage today and was doing some other maintenance work and soon discovered I had no battery power... This was my "Ah Ha Moment!". My wife teases me all the time about being a JOF Addict... She may be right... But it is only because of that addiction that I knew to check for the In-Line Fuses.
The 29ME has two of them at the rear of the battery compartment. They are most easily accessed by completely removing the battery. The two fuses are 20amp and 7.5amp. I had blown the 7.5... Can anyone guess which one I did not have on hand???
Anyway, big shoutout to all my fellow JOF Addicts. If I had not spent the last year reading your many posts, I never would have known to check for those fuses and instead of typing this happy ending, I would have been scrambling to get the rig into my dealer for service before the next trip! Good news is if we turn out to be neighbours somewhere and you blow your 7.5amp fuse... I now have 5 spares! See you on the road!
