I have the older Seneca, with the Chevrolet Kodiak chassis, Duramax engine, and Allison trans. The Cummins in your Seneca likely has similar power characteristics to ours, and it worked great for us along the Million Dollar Highway from Durango to Ouray and beyond. We did a lot of hills on that trip, and pulled our Jeep Wrangler behind the Seneca. As mentioned earlier, you'll likely get passed by all the pickups and passenger cars, but not by many trucks. It's about as good as you're going to get with a rig weighing 28000-32000 lbs. Also as mentioned, the turbocharger allows the diesel to live in its own atmosphere at high altitudes. No discernable loss of power. Pretty good setup. These weren't designed for acceleration, just torque. It will not even notice your toad.
