27.5 RLTS New owner

The wife and I purchased a 2016 27.5 RLTS 5th wheel This is our first Jayco product. We have owned a Forrest River Wildcat 5th wheel and various other TT's over the years,

My questions is, Can anyone get me up to speed on what I need to know about the Jayco line, ( pro's and con's ) and anything I should know about my model.

Umm - if you're used to fifth wheels, then you probably know most of it. If your location is Rochester Minn, then you probably got it at Hilltop. Their Twin Cities location has been fantastic to deal with, so no worries there. With ours, I've found little to complain about. Our biggest issue is the stowing of the upgraded rocker/recliners for travel - hard to manhandle around, and block everything for getting to the fridge on the road. But since you have an extra foot to work with, and may not even have the recliners....maybe no issue!
Some construction details seem a bit flimsy, but it's an ultra light, plus on the lower end of the price spectrum. After 3 seasons of pretty heavy use, we've had only very small issues, so it seems to be designed right.
Biggest complaint - outside "kitchen" door leaks a little bit, and the installed camp stove started to rust, even though we only used it once! But, some steel wool, and clear paint seems to have held the problem at bay.
We added JT Strongarm Stabilizers to remove some wiggle when in camp (only on the front, rear would not fit). And I upgraded to 2 6v batteries, after I killed the one it came with.
Let us know how it is equipped - what options, etc. and we can perhaps give some more tips.

It is not just a Jayco thing but the quality of standard trailer tires leaves a LOT to be desired. I suggest an upgrade to an E rated tire, post haste.

Yes I agree tire change is a great investment. The st tires are rated for 65 mph. Side walls give out fast.

I probably shouldn't say this but, compared to the Wildcat, you most likely have already noticed the improvement in quality in many aspects.

I have to agree about the tires. For the life of me, I'll never understand why the RV industry as a whole, continually insists on installing under rated tires on these things!
