Being newbies as well my husband and I made the mistake of purchasing a RV that was too close to our towing capacity. We also put blocks on the rear tires and my husband was still a nervous wreck when towing, sure we got where we were going but he did not want to go too far, he was that nervous about it........Soultion purchase a new truck so that he did not have to be such a wreck (no pun intended) all the time. I figured life is way too short to be worrying about it, so a new truck solved the problem and we are living happily ever after I sometimes think my husband may have put it on a little thick so that a new truck seemed to be the only realisitic option. Afterall, not camping was completely out of the question Hope all continues to go well with your tow vehicle.

If you are worried about tow vehicle size then see this thread on the Ultimate Tow Vehicle

This one is sized right.

FYI my tow vehicle is a Ram 1500, extended with Hemi. Has worked very well but I don't broadcast it on RVNet.
