Ducted AC in my Seismic 5er, where is the inlet filter?

I've got ducted AC (central AC another way to put it) for my main 15k Coleman Mach AC unit. As such there is not a "chill grille" like there is for my Bedroom Coleman, where the filter is right there. I see two rectangular vents on either side of where the AC unit sits on the roof but that's it. Are the filters in there to clean?

Yep, there are filters behind the metal grills.

You can't clean them in water because they have a cardboard edge on them, pretty cheesy IMO.

FYI. I took my vent covers down to inspect the filter. My god these are the cheesiest pieces of crap I've ever seen. My god. Can they skimp any more? Anyway my suggestion is if you have these you open them and inspect the filter. I'm posting a picture of what one of mine looked like when I opened it. They botched it up at the factory. My guess is a good amount of lint and debris has made it past this and Into the unit. I retaped all the sides with duct tape and reinstalled them. What you see in the picture is the screw which when installed wrapped the whole filter material around it. It's toilet paper thin. Click image for larger version

Go to any home improvement store and get some of the black filter material and just cut some new ones to fit.
