Added "SnapPads" to all six jacks. Adds a lot of stability with a larger foot print:

Actually the person we are going with brought some stuff over that that can’t fit in their little squab, so now I have even more. Lol.

But I always hear from them....”what do you need such a big trailer for!!”

I ordered a wifi booster/repeater and decided to get a head start on the install. The antenna connects to the router via a long USB cable. So, I had to figure out a way to get the cable into the trailer. This is what I came up with.

I opened up the couch to reveal a wire chase under the side table on the drivers side of the trailer.

Then, I added an extra outlet for the router as well as a grommet for the usb to hook into the Router which will be mounted either on the wall or onto the side table.

I drilled a hole into the side wall from the inside so that I could locate the proper spot on the exterior

Used a hole saw to drill through the fiberglass and then attached a TV hatch door that I modified to accept the USB.

Now I can plug in the antenna into the usb port on the exterior and secure the antenna to the ladder (or the flagpole attached to the ladder) when I set up. Unplug and remove when I leave

Cant wait to get the wifi booster to test it out.

You’re a brave man! I don’t know that I could drill a hole that big into the side of mine just yet! I love my hotspot on my IPhone X with AT&T and my Mi-FI with Verizon in the interim. Let us know what the outcome is when you get it all hooked up.

Mods to 377 RLBH?

Dan

That hole is “only” 1-1/4”. [emoji23]

We all have phones with hotspots but we are on a family plan so when the kids are using hotspot for gaming, I have a hard time getting a decent connection. I’ll definitely report back on how it works.

Edit: the other problem is some places we go have very weak or no cell service so the hotspots are of little use. Therefore we use the camps WiFi but a lot of times if we’re too far away the signal is weak. This should fix that

The funny thing is we were just talking about this...when we were in the Grand Canyon nothing worked! My Verizon hotspot, AT&T iPhone X, & T-Mobile iPad were all useless! Nothing worked while we were there.

Or I should say that ya'll are a lot braver than I!

I haven't given up on looking for a good deal on a washer/dryer on Facebook and craigslist. I check every couple days for a good deal...just haven't been able to capitalize yet!

You will find one......keep looking.

My first 5th wheel I bought a new Splendid, only had trailer little over a year. Removed washer/dryer combo when traded 5th wheel in.

Paid almost $1300.00 new
Sold for $500.00

And it was still perfect.

Following your install. I have no problems drilling holes just that I was shocked at the cost of the electronics.

Is your 377 springs in top or bottom hole. Mine are in top hole and I set at 13'4". I keep getting rub marks on slide rails. I have 2" clearance to tire so I know it from bouncing on rough roads. This time I was loaded more than normal since it was a 9 day trip. It rudded the plastic wrap off the wood over the tire under the fridge. I can move to lower hole but it will put me at 13'6". Wonder it shocks would fix problem?

What kind of WiFi booster did you get Tom? You made my knees shake by drilling that hole. I run my cell booster through that side window

Mods to 377 RLBH?

That’s interesting it uses a USB cable to power the powered antenna. Are you gonna put it on a telescoping pole on the ladder like you seen on my rig? Remember, WiFi signals are line of site, and trees and other obstructions will affect the signal.

I set my previous incomplete msg down to do a wife order and came back and somehow it got sent. I wanted to add that my WiFi booster uses a large outdoor grade Ethernet cable (size of 75 ohm) to power my PDQ Connect Bullet antenna and I run that under the fireplace corner thru the rubber flap and then up to the cabinet above the tv to the router.

I’ve done that about 75 times or so as we’re now in campsite #103. Use to climbing the ladder to put both my antennas when both signals are iffy. Anxious to hear how your new booster turns out. You plan on getting a cellular booster after this one?
