NorthPoint TV inverter mod

If any NorthPoint owners, who have the res fridge/inverter, want to hook up the living room TV to the inverter...you can find the wires under the bottom drawer beside the pantry.

I think this will only apply to rigs that have a similar floor layout to the 341RLTS and 377RLBH.... maybe Pinnacles with a similar living room/kitchen layout might be the same.

I don't take any responsibility if you don't know enough about electricity and mess something up.
Do make sure you shut the AC off to the rig before doing anything!

There are two square junction boxes on the floor under the bank of drawers beside the oven. You should see the wire that goes to the fridge from one of the junction boxes, that is the wire coming from the inverter.
There are two romex wires going under the pantry...one is the fireplace and one is the TV and also the plug beside the TV.
Figure out which is the TV wire and attach it to the wire that goes to the fridge.

If you have a big enough battery bank capacity, you can run your TV off the inverter and also the plug beside the TV.

The TV lift motor already works off the 12volt system and so does the DVD.

If you want to go a step further you could add a wire to the output side of the inverter (in the baggage compartment) and run it to the bedroom TV.
The wire can go up, through the floor, beside the outdoor TV slot and under the bedroom dresser drawer...up the side of the dresser and then cut in a new receptacle beside the TV receptacle.
Nothing has to be changed on the old receptacle (leave it alone), just plug the TV into the new receptacle when you want to run that TV off the inverter.

Be aware of what you have plugged into the receptacles as to not over load the inverter. Both TV's and the fridge might be pushing the limits of the 1000w inverter.

I bumped it back up.
Maybe there weren't many looking at this model then.

Maybe join up with the Social group here on the 377?

I might add.. If you tap into the output wire from the inverter to run a new plug to the bedroom tv or for any other purpose, that wire SHOULD have a 15a/120v fuse or breaker in line for safety.
The wire going to the junction box/fridge under the drawers should already protected by the factory.

Did that in our FLSA, but a little more labor intensive. We had an in motion sat dish on the MH so the boss could record a couple daytime shows. Moved it over to the FW, using the ladder bracket so she is still a Happy Camper. Works great going down the road.
