Possible slideout leak

I recently purchased a 2000 rls3310 Jayco. When the rear slideout is extended I noticed a hole in the inner corners where the weather striping ends. I owned other rv's and never saw this. Is this normal for Jayco? I have a leak close by the rear of the slideout and I not sure if this is the problem. I would appreciate any information as to whether water could be entering the hole and causing the leak or water is being drain outside and leak is from another source.
