After looking at the wiring diagram shown above I'm glad when we was doing we didn't use any of the provided connections on the Trailer side.
We setup a portable Dish for our DIRECTV HOME ACCOUNT back then and the DISH has two ports coming from it so ran two RG cables to the trailer. Ran one cable to the Bedroom TV and the other cable to Living room TV to a SAT RCVR in both locations brought with us from the house account. Then I came out of the VIDEO OUT of each SAT RCVR and connected to the VIDEO INPUTs of each TV SETs.
Then when we wanted to watch SAT TV we would just select VIDEO using the TV THUMPER. This way each of the two TV LOCATIONs could watch separate channels... You just select VIDEO to watch SAT TV or you could select CABLE or ANTENNA to watch TV from your normal outside TV source connections...
This bypassed all of the trailer interior wiring for SAT TV. This was before the HDTV digital signals came out so I have no idea how you connect up to watch HIGH DEF SAT TV signals using this method.
We did this until the NATL BROADCAST came out with their DIGITAL MODE HDTV signals. Stopped bring out the SAT items after that. With the OTA BATWING Antenna we are almost always able to pick up 6 or more digital TV SIGNALs from the local towns. Camping off grid however you would miss out on some of the CABLE STATIONs like CNN etc that is not broadcast over the OTA local stations.
