Did they balance those tires or use balancing beads?

Guys, is the idea of getting a better/higher load value for our camper or just a better quality tire? I have about 5000 miles on my Rainiers and I'm looking for new tires. Mainly because these comments are getting me worried. My rims are rated for 3750 and have metal stems. I've heard G614,S637, and maybe the Maxxis M8008. Heading south for the winter. Looking for the right thing to do. Thanks

Actually it is both , you want a higher load value AND better quality.
I just pulled the trigger on the S637 last week and I was so socked at the difference between my towmax and the Sailuns. The towmax where so flimsy it was crazy. I do not regret one bit so far. And for 900$ canadian installed , I doubt that you can find a better tire !

Thanks for your comment. Did you use the same factory rims and are those rims rated for 80psi or 110psi? It does sound like a great tire.

Yes , same rims. They are weight rated , not psi rated.

You better check your rims- they are both weight rated AND psi rated. Some of the OEM rims are only rated to 80 psi and 3750 lbs. You are taking a chance if you put 120 psi in them.

I had a factory rep check the VIN on my 36FBTS and the specs say my wheels are only rated for 80psi. I believe the load rating is 3850.

Ditto on the Sailuns, just changed my Westlakes to S637s. Jayco should be ashamed of the Westlakes but still putting them on the Toyhaulers.

After much research I just pulled the trigger on a (5) tire and (5) wheel 17.5" package.
Went with the Sailun S637.
I guess piece of mind comes at a cost.

I called Jayco to ask about wheel ratings. He told me to call Tredit who supplies all wheels.
My wheels are stamped 3750.
Called Tredit and the guy said as long as I don't have TO3 wheels, every other wheel can be used for 110 lbs. of air.
There website is: treditire.com
They show all their wheels on there.
Hoping the guy is CORRECT.............

Good move. I went with the Goodyear G114 instead but the Sailun's are a good tire.

As eldermike said, I also did not see the wheel rating, and the Goodyear's were part of the deal. I specified/requested the dealer make sure the wheels were appropriate for the tires and pressure.

I asked weeks ago about this.
Did the dealer balance the tires conventionally or did he use balancing beads?

I have not received mine yet, and I don't know what their method of balancing is. Apparently you have concerns about one or the other. Please elaborate
