Water pump/i'm stumped
The question is that when I turn on the water pump it works fine but about every 30 seconds it comes on for a couple of seconds and drives me nuts. I have looked at everything and there is no leaks that I can find. But I do notice that when ever I turn on the water there is air popping out of the taps, where is the air coming from.

Sure sounds like you have a leak somewhere in the system....the water pump should only run when it needs to pump water from the fresh water tank to replenish the water in the system.
Check under the trailer and look for a leak or a bulge in the underbelly material....there maybe water in the under belly.

Randy,
Welcome to JOF
Check around the pump for any connection air leaks and especially confirm that the winterizing anti-freeze valve at the inlet tube is completely closed.

Hello Randy,
Check the external shower. Usually, one of the kids do not turn the knobs off tight enough.

Worse case is the seals inside the pump.

X2 there. Even when hooked up at campgrounds we cut off water supply when we leave unit for awhile.

Had this problem once.Turned out to be the toilet, you couldn't see it with naked eye,I finally found it by drying the bowl good, then laid some T paper around the inside of the bowl and saw that it got wet.
Also check all your low point drains outside under the trailer.

If you have one of the short hose lines you use to stick down a PINK ANTIFREEZE bottle when winterizing check to make sure the cap is on good. might be sucking air there... Also some of them have a valve to turn before using - make sure that is in the right position.
Of course the water pump is only to be used if there is water in the fresh water tank. If you are connected to city water the pump should be turned off. The city water will pressure up your system.

If you run it say for 10 min will it clear up and run just water? I suspect that it cycles because of the air and the compression and expansion of air in the line. In theory if you have no water leaks then I would say the air is coming in from the suction side of your pump... and all the suggestions above point to this.
Let us know what it is.

Check your low point drains. One of mine didn't seal off and my pump would kick on and off like yours is doing.

X2 on the filter screen. I didn't tighten it enough and it was sucking air. I also keep the pump switch off unless using.

We have had this problem a few times. Typically it is the outside shower. As we spool up the hose and shove it into the small compartment we somehow, all so slightly turn the hot water valve, and it does not drip out of the showerhead, or see any water in the compartment. On the other hand the filter screen gave us issues midway through the first year we had it. The housing was full of spider web cracks. I am guessing it was not winterized correctly. During the last campout with the issue being the worst I wrapped the cup in electrical tape and it almost cured the issue. Replaced the clear cup and the issue went away. The only other time we have had this issue was when the HTT was new. The thumb screws that connect the pipes to the bathroom facet were a little loose. We never felt any water on the fittings, but I tightened them up a few times and the pump stopped cycling.
If the pump is cycling you have a pressure leak somewhere. Start with the easy items and work your way to the hard areas.
