Xantrex inverter
Came up to the campground Friday and noticed I have a e5 error showing on the black, control panel located under the cwhiney in the kitchen. Showing ol e5. Everything is,working, but the coach is,always plugged to shore, power. What should I check before calling for a tech?

Just turn the inverter on and off and it will reset, it's an overload code.
In case you didn't know the plug under the cabinet next to the micro is also on the inverter with the fridge, so if you have something plugged in there it may have contributed to the problem. I found out the hard way since that is where we have our coffee pot and I didn't turn it off one morning before we turned the inverter on.
PS: If the CG lost power for a brief second or two while you were gone it may have caused the problem.

Spot on again my friend. We have very dirty power at our campsite. I've checked with a meter several times and there is a lot of fluctuation. Don't know if that is the problem, but the new coach seems to be much more sensitive to voltage swings than the older 2000 model we had. Thanks again....a power down at the main reset the inverter.

Do you run your refrigerator on inverter all the time? I was told FR, Keystone or someone else had de-rated the inverter use to 2 hours. I stayed away from the Residential fridge for the inverter. We keep them in our company trucks and we burn them up all the time.

FR must be using "cheap" inverters. JAYCO said the fridge will run 16-18 hours using the inverter. The weak link is the batteries. There is a built in transfer switch in the XANTREX so when on shore power the iinverter is at idle.
XANTREX doesn't have any such disclaimers in the owners manual either.

Jayco Dealer said some other brand has had the whole residential refrigerator fall over going down the road on several units. He could not remember which brand. I'm guessing Forrest River.
When I tell people my opinion of Forrest River is pure junk they act like I'm talking out two heads. I have only owned Keystone a well built Sprinter Travel TT, and Jayco Pop ups and a Jayco Fifth wheel. My personal opinion is Jayco is about the best there is. I'm not loyal to any camper brand. If Jayco has a fault it is goofy things they do with floor plans and finishes. Take the shower faucet in the North Point. The Bath Faucet is Brushed Nickel why did they not put brushed nickel in the shower. They are finally catching on. The Toy Hauler has the dealers baffled. Junk Domestic refers and exposed sewer pipes in the basement. Looks like someone from Keystone is running the toy hauler line to me.

Don't misunderstand...I wouldn't go back to a FR product ever....Been in one for the last 14 years and I don't think there is much that hasn't been replaced or rebuilt. The Pinnacle is a different animal. I'm mainly trying to figure out the different electrical systems. They seem much more sensitive to power fluctuations. Had one issue with the Fridge, but a reset fixed it, hasn't happened again. Same with the inverter. Reset and it's fine. Thanks again for the help.

I was able to power down the whole coach for about 3 minutes and it reset fine.

I have a 2011 Pinnacle, and I retrofitted a residential refrigerator three years ago. It has been running full time from a 1000 watt Xantrex sine wave inverter since I installed it. The refrigerator always sees clean constant power, even when hooking up and unhooking at campsites. No transfer switch, the power for the refrigerator comes only from the inverter.

The Xantrex Inverters the JAYCO uses have a built in transfer switch which takes the load off the batteries and converter when on shore power. They are used in all the MHs as well, just larger output on the SENECA.
