A new tool
Anyone seen this new item. Seems like a must have for travel trailer owners or just something not needed?

IMO, Kinda silly.
There are plenty of hand hold places on any hitch, why scratch up the ball?

I saw one at a local trailer store. Seems like a good idea to me. It saves you from getting your hands dirty and it's a more balanced way to carry the hitch with only one hand. Amazon users give it mostly positive reviews.

One handed? If the ball isn't scratched it's not doing its job.

I would not be able to find it when it was needed.

I find the older I get, the less my knees want to cooperate but that's probably a result from 15 years in the service. $20 is a cheap way to save way and tear on my body.
Here is a demo video:

Looks like it would make it easier to install the hitch for people with bad backs. You could use your free hand for support on the bumper. But it's not something I need... yet.

Let me know when age or a physical impairment catches up to you...I'd like to see what tools you use to overcome those obstacles.

For the time being, I can still carry the hitch by the ball nut. With one hand. But I can definitely see how this would be a benefit for someone with any number of physical ailments. Even for myself (fairly young) I've hurt my back enough dealing with the awkward angles and the heavy weights of RV life. All that being said, I probably wouldn't buy one for myself, but I would definitely add it to a gift list!!

I have seen it at the local dealership, and even had one you could try on a hitch setup in the store. It was fairly cool idea. At the time my back was good. But now, I find it harder and harder to carry the hitch. I just wonder how balanced I would be walking 30 feet to and from its storage location at home, with all the weight on one side.

This is my favorite tool for things that are too heavy or awkward to carry by hand:

Need to know the type wdh hitch that people seem to be able to carry with one hand. Mine requires a pair of gloves and two hands.

Try some senior citizen weight training. And no, running around setting up the camp site doesn't do it.

Imagine that, such a brilliant idea to keep your hands clean - gloves. So not obvious. That says a lot about the marketing video.
And if that thing breaks, you better have on your steel toed shoes.

Well, that was sensitive and thoughtful. What part of physical impairments or disabilities do you not understand? For many people, no amount of weight training is going to counteract or prevent them.

Almost 70...... I still can throw the Champion/Inverter/Generator 2800/3000watt at 90 lbs. with gas on the back of the tailgate, so the hitch is a picnic. Was always wondering why I had back problems? Good I only have to use one hitch, I would me seeing carrying both (balance).......lol.
