Aluminum siding seams water tight?
I saw this topic in another thread on here and I have been wondering lately about water entry between the aluminum siding on the front wall when towing. It seems like water could be pushed up into the seam by the wind when towing in the rain. I'm not sure either how the pieces join together, like if there's a curved overlap or something. There is also about a 1/16 to 1/8 inch gap where the diamond plate meets the aluminum siding.
Do any of you guys have concerns about this or experience with it? Has anyone used a clear sealant to seal the seam?
