Electric Stab Jacks - Do you have covers on the Motors?

Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to work out the answer to a question I have and so far have not gotten much good info from either my dealer or Jayco so I am looking for others who may be able to help.

Bought a new 2013 25RKS with the electric jack package and I have noticed that there is a black plastic cover (boot) over the motor on the rear set of stabilizer jacks but this cover is not on the motor on the front set. I am trying to find out if I am missing one on the front motor or not.

I have contacted the folks at Jayco and the latest from them is that this is an aftermarket item and not part of the warranty.

I am pretty confident that my dealer (CW) did not add this cover, and if so, why didn't they put one on both motors.

So..my question to you is.... If you have the electric stabilizer jacks do you have covers on both motors that came from the factory?

This is not really a bid deal but it has become my personal quest to try to get a clear answer, plus having this cover seems like it would help protect the motor from the weather and splash from the wheels when driving in the rain.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Terry

I can take photos in a few days when I swing by storage if that'll help you.

Ranger 431,

Thanks for the offer of pictures but I have looked at mine again and have identified them as Ultra-Fab p/n 39-941602 which clearly show the covers on their web page. Now I just need to convince Jayco that they exist and are not aftermarket and my missing one should be replaced under warranty.

We'll see...
