Yah, that's what I thought too, but when I posted on here earlier asking about using a WDH, I had more than a few ppl say it's stupid to not use one. I think I'm going to test it out with and without and see if it's really even necessary.

I am sure with the Raptor, you have not stopped smiling since you picked it up in NY. Introduce the wife to the back seat... probably the size of the back of the Element
Check out these guys... truly enjoying those Raptors. https://youtu.be/9mxf6wiblhM

Yep, and those are the 1st generation raptors. The new 2017 Raptor has more suspension travel, more horsepower, more foot lbs. of torque, is 500lbs. lighter, and a 10 speed transmission - and it's only a V6. I smile like a complete idiot every time I either walk up to it, or walk away from it. It's definitely fun. Pulling the trailer feels like nothing is attached.

It's strange - when I clicked the "insert Image" button, it prompted me for the hyperlink of where it was stored. Then it displayed it in the post with an "x" on it. However right clicking the photo and telling it to open in a new window/browser displays it.
If someone wants to school me on how to "properly" attach an image, I'd be happy to know how!

Nice truck! It really dwarfs the TT. I pull our 154BH with a V6 Tacoma rated to pull 6500lbs. The Jayco dealer said I didn't need a WDH with that setup and the service manager said the same thing when I asked him. The Tacoma manual says a WDH is only recommended for pulling anything over 5000lbs. I just have a friction bar and haven't had any problems. Pulled it down I26 and 95 from Hendersonville to the Everglades over the holidays and it did great - even on a very windy day with trucks passing me quite regularly. I kept my speeds to 60-65.

Yeah, I can't see the photo at all. Maybe I've got a setting wrong. Clearly, others can view the photo.

Trying again, resized for web viewing (though I don't see why that should matter in the forums if it's hosted elsewhere - hence what "Insert Image" button asks for a hyperlink).
It's also my avatar (finally figured out how to do that).

The CAT scale will confirm the weight distribution effect with/without WDH on your TV's front axle. Ideally have TV/TT under loaded conditions.
CAT scale how-to: http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f3...v-tt-3871.html

Now that's a SEXY truck! And I'm a Chevy guy. Women just don't understand the relationship between a man and his truck.
Love my Silverado though.

....... i work for Chevrolet, we have nothing to compare with the Raptor! Our idea of an all out off road truck is roll bars with a light bar, some meatier tires and some stupid emblem on the door!
