SpareTire?
Hello. I'm a first time TT owner with a ton of questions. My first: All of the Jayco literature for my TT say a spare tire comes standard, but my TT docent have one. I bought it new from dealer stock but I wasn't given anything that itemized what options were included in my purchase. The best I can tell, everything was standard or mandatory except a bedspread. So, how can I tell if I paid for the spare and if so, how do I go about getting it? TIA.

Have you asked the dealer where your spare is?

Look at the MSRP sheet. They should have given you a copy, if not tell them you want one.

Our trailer had the spare mounted on the rear bumper however I know Jayco hasa crank mechanism to get a spare tire lowered from underneath the trailer so take a look there
Personally I would love that the mechanism was still there so we could have a second spare

Thank you all for the advice. I contacted the dealer & asked for the tire. They said it was not included with the TT I purchased & gave me a generic printout where it listed the spare as deleated. Since I paid well under MSRP it's not worth fighting over. Instead I'm going to focus on preparing to go camping. I'll keep it close to home until I get a spare.
With that said, what do most owners use to lift your TT to change a tire? Jack or one of those leveling pieces you drive onto? I've never had a double axel before. TIA

Curious what model TT do you have?
If you contact Jayco with your vin # they will tell you if a spare was original supplied equipment. Also they can tell you where on your TT one should be mounted.

What a sleezy dealer.
Makes me wonder if he doesn't take your new brake shoes off and replace them with old worn ones from a previous brake job.
If "mandatory package" was checked off on your sales sheet and there was nothing about deleted spare, then they owe you a spare. It is part of the mandatory package

Anderson Rapid Jack or other type plastic ramps
keep a length of board handy for soft surface to place the jack on before use You only need one for a dual axle to lift it

That's funny. We have a permanent setup so I didn't want a spare. The dealer wouldn't take it back or issue a credit.
With the reliability of ST tires, no matter how "close" you go don't ever leave home without a spare or a jack. My son did and the cost of the service call and crap tire to get him back to a tire dealer (Sunday, of course), could have bought him 3 new spare tires...
