Tomorrow is the day!
My new 2016 jay flight 38FDDS is scheduled to roll of the assembly line tomorrow! Hopefully the date hasn't slipped. I'm going to call jayco Monday to ask if it's been completed as scheduled. From there it goes to the 'pen' until they can schedule a driver to haul it from Indiana to Massachusetts. Hopefully it should be here within a couple of weeks.
I'm hoping the roads are clear and dry during its 13 hour journey to my dealer.
I'm really getting excited now!

I know you must be excited. Mine is not due for delivery until March.
I choose to fetch it myself and take a factory tour at the same time.
Good luck with the PDI and make sure they do not rush you through it. Best to get it all sorted now.
Congratulations!!!! I know how you must feel about now.

I plan on doing a quickly walk through when it arrives, but the full PDI won't be happening until the spring after its dewinterized, just prior to them delivering it to my seasonal spot down on cape cod.

Thanks.. Yes, she's a big one! I have a beautiful site down the cape where she'll spend her life. Traded in my 2005 Sunnybrook bunk house trailer. The bunk house was useless for us as the kids are grown. So essentially, a third of the sunnybrook (bunk room) was being wasted as dead space. We were looking for more living space, something we'll definitely have with the 38FDDS.

So my dealer just called and said she just got a call from Jayco. Jayco said that due to dealer/customer feedback, that going forward they are changing the dimensions on the rear bedroom slide of the 38fdds to now extend out 24" rather than the 18" I was told I was getting when i asked for the dimensional drawings at the time I ordered. They wanted to know if I was ok with the new 24" bump, or if I wanted to stay with the original design of the 18" bump. I told them to go with the new 24" bump, giving us an extra 6" of floor space at the foot of the bed. Gee, I don't think I would have noticed the difference either way! I thought it was very nice of them to give me a heads up and offer me the options.

Congrats, that is HUGE! Question, are you full timing or using it seasonally? We want to be on the road for months at a time hopefully in the not to distant future and have a lot of research to do as far as 5er vs tt when we upgrade so I'm just curious how it does in the winters up there.

We are seasonal. We use the trailer May-October. I don't believe the trailer we ordered is suited for 4 seasons here in New England. It gets very cold and snowy here in the winter months.

Congratulations! Know exactly how you feel as we went through the same thing in late October.

UPDATE:
Trailer has been released for shipping. Waiting for driver to be assigned to bring it to Massachusetts.
Does anyone know how long this typically takes?

You should get it fairly quick. My in-laws just bought a Jayco and it shipped fast. I bought mine last year, fuel prices were higher and weather in the Midwest was worse. That led to less people transporting. With relatively cheap fuel and good weather, there will likely be a lot of people transporting, with a higher profit margin thanks to the fuel prices.
Hope you love it! Must be nice having a spot in Cape Cod. We discussed a trip up there this upcoming year, but it looks like I have been over ruled. We will get there eventually though!!!

Not living in it. It's going to my seasonal site down cape cod. It'll stay at the dealers until spring thaw.

We ordered our 28RBDS in November. It went to production the week of December 7 and was at the dealer less than 10 days later. We picked it up on the 18th. Because of the warm weather we took a quick trip to PA for a shakedown.
Let anyone know when you take delivery - enjoy!

I wish I could. I don't have a big enough TV. I have plenty of friends with capable 3500 class TV's , but I have nowhere to keep it. So it stays at the dealership until spring thaw at which time the dealer will deliver to my site and pick up my trade. You can bet I'll be heading straight to the dealership as soon as it arrives! I can't wait to see it!

So it ended up taking about 2 weeks from production to dealer. It was built on January 8th, and was delivered to the dealership yesterday, January 22nd.
