Water Leak- Please help

Hey guys, I am camping now and have a slow water leak under my kitchen sink.

It is from the hot water line where the pvc tubing meets the braided metal hose for the sink. There is a black rubber connector there and water is dripping down the side connected to the braided metal end from what I can tell.

There appears to be no real trigger to make it leak faster or slower (it seems to vary from not leaking at all to maybe 1/4 cup in a couple hours). Running water hot or cold doesn't really seem to impact it. Other details... On city water and using my water pressure regulator as usual at 45psi.

Should I replace the rubber connector, and is it something I could find at Lowe's?

Note: image is upside down.

You might just loosen it up then re tighten it.The only way to replace the black fitting is to replace the entire faucet. Looks like it is a single handle unit.

Do you have a pull-out kitchen faucet?

I had a slow leak at the pull-out faucet braided hose. The water flowed down through the fixture and seemed to originate from a supply hose. Tightening the faucet braided hose fixed it.

Noob question but how do I tighten it? There doesn't seem to be a nut on there just more of a crimped end inserted.

Thank you all for the quick replies.

Edit: yes, it is the single pull out faucet.

I had the same problem. Mine had vibrated loose during a long haul on not-so- terrific interstates. I hand tightened the black connectors, which were loose, and that solved the problem. I don't think they were tight to start with.

Yep, I would try to tighten in 1st. It could be a cracked connector, in that case you'd have to replace it.
