Water pump not secured to floor

Just took delivery of my camper and while scoping out where all the components are I noticed the water pump isn’t bolted to the floor and just laying there. I was going to screw it down - but then I thought. Maybe it’s not supposed to be. Let me know what you think.

I bet someone had a piece of carpet under it to cut down on the noise when it is running...

I unscrewed mine and ran some sound deadening rubber mat under it and put the screws in so they would keep it from stressing the water line but not conduct vibration into the floor. I also added loops of flexible pipe on both sides to prevent the pipe from conducting the vibration. Prior to that it made a jackhammer noise through vibration.

I may go back and remove the screws and put in eye bolts on both sides with a rubber strap to hold it in place to further reduce vibration conduction.

Yeah - no screw holes in the floor. Looks like it was sent from mfg unsecured.

I would put put something under it to help reduce some of the noise. Rubber backed industrial carpet would be great. Kid's play mat, and I am sure other items will work too.

I think a lot of the noise really is from the pipes vibrating.
