Question What do you think

Hello everyone
Here is our problem we been searching for a 2007 jayco eagle 314BHDS we found one BUT the dealer is foreclosed and The Bank owns all the TT. They are asking $13,600. we have tried to call the bank but get the run around the sale rep from the dealer says he not working for the bank but is helping the owners get the tt off there lot for auction. Problem is sold as is and the sales guy said it was checked over and winterized ,which they did we saw the antifreeze in the sinks etc and hot water lines. It is in good shape except the master bedroom has an over stuffed matters and they took off the door to make it fit (which is not hard to replace) nada is on the low side, questions are the holding tank, grey tank, does the heat work etc, we gave them a bid well see. the first two bids we gave them the rep said no, but as I pointed out selling as is should reflect the price. To Buy or Not to Buy.

Thanks
Billsfan

Before I would do anything else, I would talk to the owner of the TT, the bank. If they confirm the rep is their authorized negotiator, then work a deal with him. Before the deal is completed, I would pay a good trusted RV mechanic to drive over and give the TT a going over. This may cost you a hundred bucks or so, but if he points out a potential $1200.00 problem with the TT, his fee is worth it. In the end, make sure you read the fine print on the contract. If the bank finances it, you will probably be in good shape. The old saying "buyer beware" applys to this for sure.

What do you think

Like already said talk to the bank to make sure. The price may go down but i kind of doubt it.
When my roof was damaged and insurance came out to do estimate i saw the work sheet that the adjuster had and it had my tt valued at 18,257.00 that was the number they came up with to determine whether to total. Mine is what you are looking at 07 eagle 314 bhds

Bank owns everything, land TT, etc, so we answered that question since my last post bank came down to another $350.00 down to $12,750 for 314BHDS 2008 (but the TT says MFG is a 2007??) checked both nada values close but what is it a 07/08, my friend said to check to see if its insurable incase of problems down the road like good sams? will finance it if we want. What would you do.
Thanks

My 2010 26BH was manufactured in 09/09. Should not be a problem. Like suggested above, get a qualified person to check it out. Bank will be eager to get it off their books, so I would deal directly with them, if possible, not the guy at the RV place. I would think any trailer of that age would not have much of a dealer warantee.
