I've decided on the "2015 JAYCO JAY FLIGHT 33RLDS"
I've decided to buy the 2015 JAYCO JAY FLIGHT 33RLDS. This was our pick. Just wondering if anyone has any comments about this trailer. Also I am getting a ford f150. What size engine and rear end should it have. Also one more thing, is the underneath of this trailer covered in. All comments are welcome. Tks in advance.

We have a 2011 33RLDS. Had a few problems. Are you getting the f-150 to tow this trailer. We pull ours with a 2002 Ford Excursion, does real good except on hills of 7-8 percent grade and over 6 miles long. but besides that truck pulls real good. Trailer,. It is big enough that we don't get into each others way and we have a 80 pound dog and we don't feel cramped, wife and I love it. I would really rethink about getting the f-150 to pull that trailer. Once you get the trailer, after you use it for awhile it starts feeling like home.

We purchased our second 33RLDS recently. Very satisfied with unit. Great floor plan, comfortable, no serious problems. Looked at many campers & decided to stay with Jayco.

We pull our 33RLDS with a "2011" Ford F-250, 6.2Liter V8. Does a good job.

It goes without saying that the 33RLDS is a excellent camper.We love ours and have no complaints. If you plan on towing yours a lot then you may want to consider getting a F250 over the 150.

We love ours for the room and actual doors to the bedroom and the bathroom being off the bedroom. I think the dry tongue weight was over 1100 lbs. Not sure what it is loaded but I would guess it would eat up most of a 1/2 cargo capacity.

I'm a huge F150 fan but in this case I think I'd be looking at an F250. That's a big trailer your towing.

If you got the thermal package then the bottom should be covered in that corrugated plastic. Its no barrier for mice but it helps camping in colder weather.

I love mine...(at a seasonal sight) a few issues with it and awaiting the dealer to come fix em', since May 21st (hmm??) The 2015 has a slide door option that I wish I got, but I ordered a 2014 and they shipped a 2015 and I wasn't aware of this option. great layout though and I also got the thermal pkg.

The 33 rlds has a great floor plan. To save a few bucks we ended up getting the 32rlds. Very similar length and weight as yours. We pull it with an older f250 SD with the 7.3 turbo diesel. We have plenty of power but get pushed around a bit by the large tractor trailers. I can only imagine what it would be like with a 1/2 ton truck. The newer f150's might do better but I would go with a 3/4 ton for sure.

I also have the 32RLDS (2014). I pull mine with a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel and have no issues with hills or passing on hills. I think its crazy to see 1/2 tons pulling trailers like this. They appear to be working, but at what cost to the truck and motor?
Either way, enjoy your trailer. If you haven't actually purchased the trailer yet, you should consider the 32RLDS. Less storage in the kitchen but the outdoor kitchen is used just as much as the inside kitchen.... if it had a sink, I may never go inside unless its raining.

Some F150s can tow quite a bit. If you bought this at a dealer they should let you know about the towing as well. If not go to trailer life towing guide and check to see what your truck pulls. If it is sluggish you can get a chip that will make towing better, banks power is popular, or for less get an air intake upgrade that also can help. As well the trailer GVWR is on the outside, side of trailer, don't tow much weight ie. food, clothes, or anything to heavy water or any tanks should be empty until your close to your destination also. happy camping great choice.

Very nice trailer--also very heavy
I would get a 3/4ton...
However, if you are stuck on a half ton, get the towing package, large V8 and tallest gear possible.
My TT is a bit smaller and almost 2K lower GVWR and decided on the 2500...

I tow a Jayco G2 31RKS, about 8K loaded and I have a 2011 Silverado, 2500HD 6.6 Turbo Diesel and it tows like a breeze. There are many smaller diesel options out there that would work for you. There's nothing like a diesel when pulling!

I drive a dodge 2500 cummins and love it. BUT if I, had to purchase a new one today it would be the dodge ram 2500 with the new 6.4 liter HEMI. Around 8k cheaper than the diesel, $12k discount now, 25 percent lower fuel cost, oil changes 1/3 the cost and less often. They tow like a beast. What ever you get it should be a least a 3/4 ton.

Tks for all the replies. Never decided on a truck yet. But the
Bigger truck (250) seems the way to go. We will not be pulling it
This year. Maybe next, not sure.

I have the trailer you are going to buy and also have a F150 and would never consider towing that beast with a F150. You do not have the payload to tow that beast with a F150.
Love my trailer....great layout and feels like a home if you are stuck inside....tons of storage for me and my wife!
