After nearly three years of camping around the country something happened that really scared me.
One day my wife exclaimed she heard a sizzeling sound and smelled something burning. I didn't so I just ignored her. Later that day the main circuit breaker blew on the trailer. After much investigating I found the following when I checked the fuse panel:
The white (neutral) wires had burned off a couple of inches of the their insulation and the common Neutral buss was all black. Close inspection showed that the main white Neutral wire was NOT tightened down.
I then cleaned up the buss connectors and all the white wires and reconnected them. Problem solved!!!
Also checked out all connections in the panel.
ADVICE:
After traveling a while do check out your electrical panel and make sure all connections are tight. All that traveling and bouncing around could loosen up some wiring.
Happy trails,
